Why We Designed This

Our most environmentally-friendly easel!

Our bamboo easels are a more sustainable choice than metal models because they have a smaller carbon footprint. Bamboo is a renewable resource that grows quickly and sequesters carbon, unlike steel which produces carbon.

This easel was designed to bring natural elements into the classroom and is ideal for neutral or early years environments. The sturdy frame and shelf is constructed of bamboo, a sustainable and fast growing plant and the Large Open Tubs are made with 100% recycled post-consumer plastic tubs.

Each black tub includes an imprint so teachers and students know it's different than others in the classroom. Hopefully it sparks some questions and conversations about the importance of recycling!

Our finish is a nitrocellulose lacquer. Lacquers are a popular finish type for furniture and the preferred choice of professional furniture makers. Lacquers provide a clear, durable, and water-resistant finish, that protects the base material while also enhancing its appearance.

To make sure your whiteboard lasts as long as possible, use non-abrasive cleaners and erasers, do not use permanent markers, and do not put tape on the board.

Tubs are made with 100% post-consumer recycled plastic and are recyclable through most blue box programs when they reach the end of their use.
Made from bamboo, a renewable resource. We purchase our bamboo material from FSC certified suppliers.
Compared to our similarly designed metal easel with regular tubs, this bamboo easel produces approximately 54% less carbon.
